Queijo de Cabra do Pinhal Maior is associated with the rural and pastoral traditions of Pinhal Maior, a territory dominated by pine forests in central Portugal. Goat farming has historically been well suited to this landscape, and local cheesemaking transforms goat’s milk into cheeses that can be enjoyed at different stages of maturation.
